All About the HAIR

So here we go! My college journey is about to begin. August 12th is the day I leave for beautiful North Carolina! I wanted to start off my college experience with a fun and manageable hairstyle. So on a whim I decided to teach myself how to do Havanna twist. After attaching a few practice twists on my mom, I was on a roll. It's not to difficult, actually pretty therapeutic. Here's a picture of my first go-around with twists.

Excuse the baggy CP3 shirt. To achieve this wavy texture with my twist, I simply braided the twists into about 10 plaits and dipped them individually into boiled water. Then I unbraided them and let them air dry. This hairstyle should last me about a month and half hopefully.

Products Used:
  • Finger Comber Havanna Hair, 3½ packs of hair in the color onyx
  • Carol's Daughter Loc Butter
  • Hair Pins
  • Hair Ties
  • Wide tooth comb
  • Coconut Oil (to moisturize scalp)
For further instructions on how to actually attach the hair here is a video:

So that is it on my new hairstyle. I think it's cute! I'll share more pictures on how I will style these twist. I think this is a perfect hairstyle to start college with considering I'm going to be worried about not getting lost on campus and studying. My hair is the last thing I want to worry about. Hope this was helpful.
